My Top 3 Favorite Oatmeal Recipes

  1. Maple Syrup Mashed Banana Oats
  • In a pan add:
  • 3/4 c old fashioned Quaker oats
  • 1 1/2 c water
  • Add a dash of cinnamon 
  • Put on high until boiling
  • Add 1/2 c milk of choice (creamy cashew milk is great for this)
  • Reduce to a medium heat 
  • Stir in 1/2 smushed banana (simply use a fork and mash the banana up so it’s mushy)
  • Stir until thick consistency then pour into bowl
  • Add a spoon full of maple syrup
  • Top it off with whatever you want! I prefer crushed almonds or peanut butter.

2) Frozen Berry Oats

  • 3/4 c old fashioned Quaker oats
  • 1 1/2 c water
  • Cinnamon 
  • Brown sugar 
  • Add in pan on stove. Turn heat on high
  • When boiling, reduce to medium heat
  • Add 1/2 c milk of choice
  • Add 1/2 c frozen mixed berries (I use the Simple Truth Organic Berry Medley)
  • Stir until desired consistency and viola! (add preferred toppings)

3) Honey Crisp Apple Oats

  • In a pan on the stove add:
  • 3/4 c Quaker oats
  • 1 1/2 c water
  • Cinnamon
  • Brown sugar
  • Put on high until boiling
  • In a separate pan, add apple slices, 1/3 c water,  and coat with brown sugar and cinnamon
  • Turn heat to medium 
  • Sauté ingredients together until brown
  • In oatmeal pan, Add 1/2 c milk of choice and reduce heat to medium
  • Add in chopped up apple slices
  • Once the oats reach a good consistency, pour them into a bowl
  • Add the sautéed apple slices onto your oats and enjoy!
